Politically Inspired - an Oxfam Benefit.
Track 16 Gallery is proud to host the release party for the book, Politically Inspired - Fiction for our time. Politically Inspired is an anthology of previously unpublished fiction influenced by the current political climate. In addition to new fiction by twenty-five talented new and established writers, the anthology also includes comic stories by Keith Knight and an illustrated children's story by Brian Gage. Royalties from book sales will benefit Oxfam's humanitarian aid in Iraq.
The evening will include the reading of short stories from Politically Inspired by featured authors Stephen Elliott, Mark Lee, and Brian Gage, and music will be performed by the band "Orson" - "Orson are among this town's most accomplished popsmiths, masters not only of progression, melody and harmony, but gifted in groove and wordcraft to boot." - Paul Rogers, LA Weekly, March 13. 2003.
Suggested entrance donation is $10 with half of the proceeds donated to Oxfam. The $20+ donor will gain admission as well as one copy of Politically Inspired signed by the authors at the event. Refreshments will be served. Please RSVP as capacity is limited. The book will be for sale throughout the evening, and the authors present will be available for book signing.
