One Leg at a Time is the culminating public event of our three month residency at the California Institution for Women (CIW) which took place in Chino, California. HDD teaching artists engaged incarcerated women in movement workshops focused on reducing the impact of trauma through physical and creative expression. This is an opportunity to hear from the participants and experience their visual art, dance performance, and poetry.

The workshop's teaching artists, Lenin Fernandez and Himerria Wortham, will be performing a new piece inspired by their experience with the women.
